UMM Minutes
In attendance: Ron Williams, Tom Thompson, Scott Schultz, Charlie Martin, Spencer Mitchell, Dean Bachman, Chris Ariss, Jack Dalton, Bruce Stapleton, Pastor Scott Manning and Robert Teitler
Subjects Discussed:
United Methodist Men’s (UMM) Kitty or Fund
- We (St. Luke’s UMM) have over $2,500
- Brian Mitchell can give us a more accurate figure
- Last year we spent $2,095.76 for Pontiac Warming Center meals
Other UMM Activities
- Charlie Martin has communicated with members of the national United Methodist men (UMM). Sending them $100 for annual dues was discussed.
- Dean Bachman is keeping track of garden activities and expenditures.
Issues:
(1) We will be working at the Pontiac Warming Center from Monday February 24th to Saturday February 29th.
(2) Jack Dalton recommended that we have no fewer than six members of St. Luke’s there per evening.
(3) Dean Bachman suggested that we put a sign-up sheet for volunteers in Fellowship Hall by the middle of January.
(4) We omitted the chicken nuggets that were not popular last year. Instead we will be serving egg rolls, oriental chicken, Salisbury steak, the good spaghetti sauce which Jack Dalton brought from Italia Gardens last year and other meals. All of the meals call for just heating rather than elaborate preparation.
(5) Pastor Manning prompted Jack Dalton to call for adjournment of the meeting.

I may have spelled names or omitted men who were present at this meeting. I am open to editions: Perhaps other topics that were mentioned should be included? Maybe something written here would best be omitted? It could be advantageous to allow anyone to suggest subjects for future meetings?
